The Story: From Ruin to Riverside Sanctuary

Nestled at the base of the historic Château de Jumilhac, The Nest is a masterclass in "bijou" living. Once a forgotten 18th-century stone outbuilding, this structure has been lovingly resurrected and transformed into a premier boutique getaway.

While the exterior retains its soul with traditional lime-washed stone and signature French-blue shutters, the interior has been re-imagined as a sophisticated, modern sanctuary. This is where heritage meets high design, offering a private front-row seat to the River Isle.

The Space: A 19m² Masterpiece

Every detail of this 19-square-meter floor plan has been architecturally optimised with its high ceiling to feel expansive yet intimate.

• The Sleeping Quarters: Features a plush double sized bed with linens provided, positioned to offer views of the garden the moment you wake up.

• The Kitchenette: A sleek, custom-built space equipped with a small induction hob, sink, fridge, microwave, kettle, cooking equipment for a light meal and essential glassware for enjoying local Dordogne wines.

• The Shower Suite: A surprisingly spacious, modern bathroom featuring a walk in shower, heated towel rail, and toiletries.

• The Decor: A curated "Modern French Country" aesthetic—think soft neutrals, natural textures, and bespoke lighting that creates a golden glow at sunset.

Step outside into your own corner of the Sous le Château estate.

Our gite rate excludes breakfast. We are delighted to deliver our legendary Sous le Chateau breakfast to The Nest for 12.50 Euros per person.

You have private access to the cottage and the little terrace in front is just for you. You are also welcome to enjoy our parkland style riverside garden which you share with guests of our bed and breakfast.
